Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre
July 5, 2026
Hounslow’s health partners are coming together later this month for a Community Wellbeing Day designed to give residents easy, direct access to the wide range of services already available locally. The free event, open to everyone, will take place at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre on Thursday 23 July from 10am to 3pm and will bring more than thirty medical professionals under one roof for health checks, advice and support.
The day has been organised in response to feedback gathered by Chiswick Primary Care Network, which has heard from a number of patients who believe certain services are not available in the area. Clinicians say this perception often stems from a lack of visibility rather than a lack of provision, and the event aims to showcase the breadth of support already operating across the borough. By bringing teams together in a single, accessible venue, organisers hope residents will leave with a clearer understanding of what is on offer and how to access it.
Visitors will be able to speak directly with nurses, GPs, physiotherapists, mental health practitioners, social prescribers and lifestyle specialists, with no booking required. Free health checks will run throughout the day, alongside stalls offering guidance on long-term conditions, healthy eating, exercise, wellbeing and community support. Lampton Leisure, the London Borough of Hounslow, the NHS and Chiswick Primary Care Network are all supporting the event.
The atmosphere is intended to be informal and welcoming, with opportunities for residents to ask questions, learn about services they may not have known existed, and meet the teams who deliver them. Organisers say the day is as much about building confidence and familiarity as it is about providing clinical advice, and that improving awareness of local provision is a key part of strengthening community health.
The event is free, open to all, and designed to be drop-in so residents can attend at any point during the day. It marks a renewed effort to make health and wellbeing support more visible and more accessible, and to ensure that people feel connected to the services available to them.
