Gtech Community Stadium
January 26, 2025
A Hounslow Council Cabinet Question Time planned for this week has been cancelled.
The event due to take place on Thursday 30 January was called off after two councillors had stepped down leading to by elections being called in Brentford wards. The council says this meant that, due to election rules, cancellation was required.
Cliff Crown, Chairman of Brentford Football Club, was to chair the session which was being held at the Gtech Community Stadium and tickets to attend had already all been reserved.
Senior councillors including the leader of Hounslow Council, Shantanu Rajawat, and council officers would have been present and available to answer questions from the audience and those submitted in advance online in a format similar to BBC Question Tiem.
Hounslow Council says a new date will be arranged for a Question Time event although it is understood that this will not be before 6 March when the by elections are taking place.
