Visit important development sites across the borough
A delegation from the Mayor of London’s office has been on a tour of important development areas in Hounslow recently.
Sir Edward Lister (Deputy Mayor for Planning) and Rick Blakeway (Deputy Mayor for Housing) met Leader of Hounslow Council, Cllr Jagdish Sharma and Cllr Steve Curran, cabinet member for planning, regeneration and housing.

Cllr Curran – who recently took on the role at the last cabinet reshuffle – said: “Hounslow performs well as a place to do business, but we are hungry to do more.
“The borough is brimming with golden opportunities for profitable progress, and the visit of our colleagues from the Mayor’s office endorses Hounslow’s exciting economic future.”
The delegation visited development sites around Hounslow including:
* St George's Kew Bridge development
* The new Brentford FC stadium
* The A4’s ‘Golden Mile’ in Brentford
* ISIS waterside development site
* Viewing the iconic Gillette building and the new Skylon Tower on the A4
Cllr Curran, added: “Hounslow is already home to some major blue chip businesses including world beating brands names such as BSkyB, IBM and GlaxoSmithKline.
“Hounslow Council wants to build on the rich business heritage and push on to deliver prosperity for current and new residents to make Hounslow a happening place to be.”
