Applications Open for Borough's Primary and Secondary Schools
Families encouraged to complete forms well in advance of deadline

Families hoping to send children to schools in the borough of Hounslow are being encouraged to submit applications for children starting primary school or transferring to secondary school in September 2027. The borough is now accepting applications through the online EAdmissions system.
Parents and carers can choose up to six schools when applying for both primary and secondary places, and the council is urging families to take time to explore the full range of options available. While the online system allows applicants to work at their own pace, the council is stressing the importance of meeting the deadlines to avoid disappointment.
Children currently in Year 6, born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016, will need to apply for a secondary school place. The deadline for secondary applications is Saturday 31 October. Because the date falls on a weekend, and the School Admissions Team will not be available to provide last‑minute support, families are being encouraged to submit their forms well in advance.
A full list of secondary school open days is available online, giving families the chance to visit schools, meet staff and get a sense of the learning environment before making their choices.
For primary admissions, children born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 will need to apply for a reception place. Children currently in Year 2 at infant schools, born between 1 September 2019 and 31 October 2020, will need to apply for a Year 3 place at a junior school. The deadline for primary and junior applications is Friday 15 January 2027.

The council is reminding families that late applications will only be considered after all on‑time applications have been allocated. Submitting an application after the deadline can significantly reduce the chances of securing a preferred school, even when a sibling already attends.
