It's Time to Plan Your Coronation Street Party
Council says residents should apply now to celebrate on 6 May
Residents will be planning street parties across the borough over the Bank Holiday weekend

As the country prepares to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III on Saturday May 6, Hammersmith & Fulham Council is inviting local residents to apply to run street parties during the Bank Holiday weekend.
The council says that organising small, private street parties and fetes is very simple and generally does not include activities that need a licence, such as selling alcohol or providing certain types of entertainment.
Anyone considering running a party can find further tips and advice at https://www.lbhf.gov.uk/transport-and-roads/street-parties-and-events where they can also apply online. Applications must be made by Saturday April 15.
The council adds that to help capture this historic moment, photographers will be out and about over the weekend snapping as many parties as possible for the borough’s archives.

H&F Council is also hosting its own celebrations over the weekend, with the highlight being a big King Street Coronation Party near Lyric Square in Hammersmith on Saturday May 6, from 11am to 6pm.
The royal party promises plenty of family fun activities and street entertainment, including the Steel Pan Trust, a Mad Hatters Tea Party and a crown making workshop.
It will be followed by two events on Sunday May 7 – one in Hammersmith’s Ravenscourt Park and a second in Fulham’s Bishops Park. Watch this space for further details.
