New partners, new head chef and new menu & bar
This summer there are a few new arrivals to the Wallace and Co team. The first being Annabel Lawrence, who joins as Gregg’s new business partner. Owner of Green Fig and previously GM at Smiths of Smithfield and Conrans Bluebird she’s a great addition to our family. She’s local and brings expertise in food, drink and service, she’s even been given the accolade of Young restaurant manager of the year!
Our new Head chef is Jono Foot, who has worked his way around the globe most recently at The Riding House Café and Smiths of Smithfield, he brings with him some fantastic new dishes that run alongside our great breakfast and all day menus.
A brand new and very sexy bar at Wallace & Co in Putney. The place looks fantastic, if we say so ourselves. Newly decorated outside, inside it is light blue, grey and white with a marble topped bar – very light, very fresh and airy. The team are delighted with it, people sit at the bar during the day drinking coffee and nibbling pastries and now in the evening, along with some very good dishes, are small sharing plates you can have with a drink.
With the new bar in place Jono has created an innovative small plates menu, ideal for sharing or enjoying with a glass or two. From salt and pepper squid to goat’s cheese and sweet potato croquettes he has something to tantalise everyone’s taste buds!
