With a tea party at the hospice
On Tuesday 12 May Trinity Hospice celebrated International Nurses’ Day and the essential work their nurses do. Trinity’s nurses provide excellent end of life care for around 1,500 patients and families, 365 days a year, completely free of charge.
International Nurses’ Day on 12 May is an opportunity not only to commemorate the anniversary of an international Icon – Florence Nightingale - but to celebrate her impact and the continuing excellence of nursing in our local community today.
To celebrate Trinity held a Tea Party and decorated their Inpatient Centre with a special art display by local school children depicting their view of Trinity’s nurses.
Trinity’s coffee shop, overlooking their beautiful landscaped gardens, also welcomed people to come and enjoy cake and coffee and show their support – with all proceeds going towards funding Trinity Nurses in 2015.
Trinity’s specialist Nurses care for terminally ill individuals at their inpatient centre in the heart of Clapham and also provide round-the clock care in peoples’ own homes but they couldn’t continue to provide this vital care without the support of people like you. It costs £50,000 every year to fund the work of a Trinity Nurse and they urgently need your support.
