Walkers Raise Over £16000 for Trinity Hospice

Magnolia Walk proved putting best foot forward works

On Sunday 3 May over 200 people from the local community stepped out in support of Trinity Hospice, Clapham. Walkers of all ages and abilities came together to support Trinity’s vital work and celebrate the lives of loved ones by taking part in Trinity’s annual Magnolia Walk.

So far Trinity’s walkers have raised over £16,000, with more sponsorship still to be collected. Marsh & Parsons kindly sponsored the walk for the 5th year running, allowing all of the money raised to go directly to supporting Trinity’s vital end of life care.

Walkers took part in a 2, 5 or 10 mile walk around some of south London’s most beautiful spots, with everyone returning to Trinity for a well-deserved BBQ in Trinity’s award-winning gardens.

Trinity would like to thank everyone who took part in the day either by walking or volunteering. Trinity would also like to thank Field and Flower, Aquum and The Keen Group for generously supporting the event.

Trinity Fundraiser Laura Sutton said: ‘It was great to see so many supporters from the local community turn out to support their local hospice and work so hard to raise such a fantastic amount in sponsorship. Every penny raised will help support the skilled, compassionate care provided to patients and their families by our nurses 365 days a year.’

As a charity, Trinity relies on donations to continue providing expert care to over 1,500 terminally ill Londoners and their families each year, completely free of charge. All the funds raised by the Magnolia Walk will heMay 29, 2015life care to patients at Trinity’s Inpatient Centre in Clapham.
