Wandsworth Council on line competition offers prizes galore....

An Oystercard loaded with £100 of pre-paid fares, a free one-year membership with Wandsworth’s car club operator Streetcar and a £50 bike shop voucher are the star prizes up for grabs in a new online transport competition organised by the council’s technical services department.

Three lucky winners will be helped to enjoy more sustainable travel habits in the new year simply by taking part in an online quiz on the council’s website. There are lots of other giveaways available to encourage people to use their cars less.

The aim of the competition is to encourage people to leave their cars at home and use other forms of transport. Similar quizzes in previous years have seen hundreds of Wandsworth residents pledge to change their travel behaviour.

To enter, visit www.wandsworth.gov.uk/transportquiz and answer the five easy questions. You can still win prizes even if you don’t get the answers right.

The quiz is free to enter and only takes a few minutes to complete. The three star prize winners will be drawn at random from all those who enter and make a transport pledge.

The other giveaways will be distributed to those that enter before the closing date of February 29 2008. Households are limited to one entry and the prizes will be given away on a first come first served. You must live, work or study in Wandsworth to take part.
