An evening of inspiration with seven adventurous guest speakers
On stage will be 7 speakers (a mixture of men and women from all different backgrounds) who will each have 10 minutes to blow your socks off with inspiring and entertaining talks about adventures in canoes, on bikes, on foot (and sometimes even in fancy dress) from all around the world. Some will even be live "in the field” (maybe even literally) and will be beamed into the lecture theatre via satellite phone and Skype.
It should be a cracking event and the idea is to inspire you to get out there and get ticking off your own bucket list whatever it might have on it, hence the title for the night: “An Evening of Inspiration”.
It’s definitely not your usual sit down and listen to people bragging about tales of their own adventures - well, there may be some of that - but there will be fancy dress, music, laughing, films, Q and A from the floor, taking off of clothes, shouting and even some poetry. It should be a really enjoyable evening of talks…with a difference.
The evening will be raising a load of money for charity too. All the proceeds from the event will be split 50:50 between the charities Will will soon be cycling around the world for (World Cancer Research Fund, Parkinson’s UK, Peace One Day, World Bicycle Relief Fund, Sustrans and The World Wildlife Fund) and helping keep him in coffee and kebabs during his record-breaking 5 year long world cycle across all 7 continents.
Tickets for the night are £20 each (plus a small booking fee).
Please FORWARD this URL to anyone or any groups or clubs you think you may be interested in coming along. And if you have access to any kind of sports or adventure (cycling/running/rowing anything goes!) networks, please spread the word.
P.S Tickets should be available on the door, but ordering online at www.aneveningofinspiration.eventbrite.co.uk will guarantee you your seat!
