South Thames
College has received official confirmation from Ofsted that the provision delivered in adult
education has received a high overall rating of ‘Good’, and Outstanding’ for family learning
courses. This is a reminder to the local community that South Thames College is the first choice for exceptional courses and that the College is making progress towards its over-arching
aim to become an outstanding and inclusive College.
This commendation reflects the truly interesting and unique range of adult courses on offer at
the College. The part-time courses are designed for anybody who wishes to take up a new skill
or hobby. Courses are offered in the brand new £100 million Wandsworth campus, Tooting,
Roehampton, Balham and various other local community venues.
Courses are tailored to all tastes and range from Languages to Crafts, Computing, Sport and
Leisure, Dance, Drama, Food ad Drink, Managing Stress, Music Appreciation and much more. We are
pleased to announce that for the first time this year, a wide range of short summer courses
will be on offer from July at the Wandsworth, Tooting and Roehampton centres. More information
on these courses are available on the website.
South Thames College passionately believes that the best should be available to everyone,
enriching lives by offering leisure courses aimed at helping adults get jobs, improving skills,
or purely offering an opportunity to learn something enjoyable. Principal Sue Rimmer said “It
is part of our vision to make our industry standard facilities accessible to the whole
community and we want local people to know how much is on offer here. We are thrilled with this
Ofsted seal of approval and will continue to deliver the best possible service and provision to
our local community”.
