Queens Diamond Jubilee River Pageant

3rd June 2012 - 'The largest Thames flotilla in 350 years' will be held to commemorate the Queens Diamond Jubilee on 3rd June 2012. Boats will gather in the morning ready for the 3pm afternoon start of the pageant, and large numbers will be visible from Putney Bridge .

Around 200 craft will launch along Putney Embankment to join the pageant, which is likely to amount to 1,000 boats. Putney riverside, Putney Wharf, Putney Bridge are therefore great locations to see the once-in-a-lifetime event first hand. The pageant starts near Battersea Reach and heads to Tower Bridge, but will tail back past Putney Bridge to Hammersmith Bridge and beyond due to the large number of boats involved.
