Putney High Junior School Choir Help To Raise The Roof


At Barnardo’s National Choral Competition at London’s Royal Festival Hall

Across the evening, 26 choirs sang their hearts out for the winning junior and senior choir crowns and raised £35K for Barnardo’s work with vulnerable children across the UK.

Putney High Junior School competed against 19 other under-12s choirs from across the country on March 9. Hereford Cathedral Junior School were crowned the winners of the junior competition and now have their very own song written by British conductor and composer Douglas Coombes MBE.

The choir from the school in Putney Hill sang One Fine Day by Mary Donnelly and was led by Wendy Archibald and Jo Nicholls.

Star performers included Zahra Ahmad, Emma Ainsby, Saskia Ansley, Lucy Aughterson, Georgia Baker, Alexandra Barnard, Lea Boucher, Olivia Bradley, Valentina Carrier, Katie Carter, Lily Cochrane, Dearbhla Coleman, Annabel Coughlan, Chiara Delpiano Cordeiro, Arabella Eales, Nina Fedenczak, Elsa Fraser, Natasha Gayner, Isabella Halladay, Keri Hammond, Bella Howard, Christina Isac, Florence Jarvis, Sienna Jones, Francesca Keller, Faye Knowles, Ilona Koti, Amelie Lloyd, Alessia Lowcock, Anisa Mansour, Erin McCabe, Georgina Morrow, Atalanta Mowat, Francesca Mowat, Daphne Passaris, Keira Patel, Isis Phillips, Nikta Rezvani, Hannah Richardson, Tallulah Robb, Rosie Roberts, Lila Sturgeon, Holly Sutton Trout, Lauren Taylor, Sofia Waas Perumal, Lottie Ward, Caitlin Whitnall, Florence Wilkes, Sasha Worden and Elsie Young.
