Continuing from the success Impact and Kamsha had on the area, with Clapham Junction seeing a 30% reduction. The robbery squad is being supported by Transport for London, Territorial Support Group, Mounted Patrol, Safer Neighbourhood Teams and officers with police dogs. The operational budget has been increased to bolster the numbers required to achieve the result of cracking robbery/snatches.

DC Geoff Church, said, We are working as a team with our partner agencies to curtail street crime in the area. We will be a visible presence on the streets to catch criminals and reassure the public. What you wont see are our surveillance and CCTV officers, who will be watching the streets, building intelligence.

Working with Wandsworth Borough Council in CCTV surveillance has proved valuable in reducing street crime and identifying persistent offenders. Plain clothed police officers will be on patrol, liaising with CCTV & surveillance officers. School liaison officers will be tackling problems caused by youths and talking to schools in how they can work together.
