The National Autistic Society (NAS) is inviting people to take part in the BUPA London 10,000 (Bank Holiday Monday 26 May), to raise funds for the UK’s leading charity for people affected by autism.
The BUPA London 10,000 will start in St James’ Park and will take in many of the city’s most famous sights, including Big Ben, the London Eye, Cleopatra’s Needle, St Paul’s Cathedral before finishing at St James’ Park. The event is now sold out, so one way to take part is through one of the NAS exclusive places - but hurry, they are going fast!
By running for the NAS participants will help raise funds for services such as the Autism Helpline, Advocacy for Education Service, Befriending scheme, Parent to Parent support service and help! Programme.
Previous NAS running participant, Gary Cann, said: "Running for The National Autistic Society was a truly amazing experience. The support I received from the charity was fantastic. The personal achievement I felt at the end of the race was hard to beat. Plus knowing that I'd helped raise funds for the over half a million people in the UK with autism made it all the more worthwhile. I would urge anyone thinking about taking part in the London 10,000 for the NAS to go for it!"
Weather presenter, Siân Lloyd, said: "The BUPA London 10,000 is a great chance to experience some the best sights in London and if you take part for the National Autistic Society you can also know that you are raising money for a great cause."
