by hosting the World's Biggest Coffee Morning
Dear
Readers,
If you are like me and love getting together with friends for a chat over
a coffee, then why not take part in Macmillan Cancer Relief's World's
Biggest Coffee Morning on 30 September.
You can hold a coffee morning and invite your friends, family and colleagues
to join you, and the 1.5 million other people across the UK taking part
in the event, to help people living with cancer.
It
is amazing what a difference simply having a cup of coffee can make and
Macmillan is encouraging everyone to turn this regular activity into a
fun
and social occasion. Last year 2,295 coffee events took place in offices,
homes, schools and local venues up and down the UK raising a staggering
£228,000. This year is set to be even bigger!

My family knows first hand just how devastating a cancer diagnosis can
be. Thankfully, I also know the real difference the support provided by
Macmillan makes to families who are faced with cancer.
Whether you raise £10 or £200 you'll be helping Macmillan
be there for people from the moment they suspect they have cancer, with
support such as Macmillan nurses and other health professionals, cancer
care centres, information and financial help.
So go on join me, make a coffee and change a life!
All the best,
Martin Clunes
