at the London Mums Party at Eddie Catz in Putney
London Mums, held their annual Spring Party in the Party Room at the edutainment centre Eddie Catz, Putney.
Despite the sultry weather the toddlers and their mums and carers had a great morning of entertainment and "traveled" around Europe through songs with Bambinos Active. The children sang and danced their way from Putney to Paris and on to Italy learning name of animals and food along the way!
The children then had a funky work out from celebrity child entertainer Amanda Frolich, founder of Amanda Action Kids. Amanda is a west London based mother whose clients for her children’s activity classes and birthday parties include David and Victoria Beckham, Matthew Pinsent, Sarah Beeny (Property Ladder), Catherine Tate and Peter Jones (Dragon’s Den). Amanda believes that child obesity can be beaten through fun entertainment incorporating her fitness training for children aged between 4 month sand five years. Despite the celebrity tag Amanda also runs general classes in and around Wandsworth (details can be found at her website).
The children had a visit from the organic cow from Little Dish the company that produces fresh natural food
for kids - the children were given tasters of their fromage frais and later had a tasting session to try and discourage fussy eaters! The event closed with a performance from
Hypnotick - runners up at this year’s British Street Dancing Championship.
Eddie Catz was opened in Putney in April 2005 by Maria and Darren Johnson who saw the need for an upmarket play facility four years ago when both their children were under 5. They have recently opened the second centre in Colliers Wood near Wimbledon which will offer an environment which can also offer entertainment for children up to the age of 10.
Monica of London Mums, said: “London Mums’ parties are regular get-together for London families with young children and include first class entertainment with a mix of fitness and fun learning activities. We believe in face-to-face interaction and we will continue organising events for families based in London.”
For the mums there were also representatives from childrens orientated businesses including Anne Beal from Captain Tortue (children clothing from France which you can only buy from a representative such as Anne and if you host a party you get a generous discount form your purchase). There was also Antoinette Scandling the UK distributor for the South African success Baby Sense - suppliers of soothing products for your new born child and advice fussy eating and poor sleepers! Susanne Chishti as seen on BBC's Dragons' Den was also there. Sussane is a member of London Mums "mumpreneurs'" group and was promoting her Yes! Superbaby Music Scarf and wristbands, whilst also giving support to the mums - yes you guessed it every supplier is a mum and finding ways to balance the demands of parenting and business life.
