Local Residents Get Chance To Shape Heart Healthcare

At next week's talks and workshops

Wandsworth Residents will have the opportunity to shape how cardiovascular health is addressed in the borough, at a day of talks and workshops organised by Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group and Lifetimes Charity.

Local residents, community groups, and health and social workers are invited to attend the Cardiovascular Health in Wandsworth event on Thursday 5th September at the Penfold Community Centre on Neville Gill Close.

Nicola Jones, the chair of Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group – the NHS arm responsible for planning health services – will open the event, which will include presentations from local GPs, public health workers and local service providers, as well as interactive workshops and discussions.

The event is designed to raise awareness of the risk factors for cardiovascular illness and promote healthy lifestyle choices, as well as encouraging feedback from Wandsworth residents on how services are run.

A Marketplace of stalls run by health professionals will provide practical advice on how to improve cardiovascular health, from physical exercise to stopping smoking and weight management.
