The Friends
of Gunnersbury Park and Museum are presenting an Evening Talk entitled
"Lace, a Luxury Fabric." The talk is by Gwynedd Roberts
Honorary Curator to the Lace Guild and takes place on Wednesday 10 March
2004 at Gunnersbury Park Museum
This illustrated talk will show how lace, which we now associate with lingerie and soft furnishings, was once a luxury status symbol for men and women alike. Gwynnedd Roberts will be using lace from her own collection in this special talk. There will also be time to view the Lace Guild�s special exhibition at Gunnersbury.
