And light up a Kenyan schoolchild's life
Footsteps are showing ‘The Constant Gardener’ (with Rachel Weisz and Ralph Fiennes) and is to raise money to buy solar lamps for the children at our schools.
A lamp costs about £15/£20 to buy so each ticket we sell will enable us to buy a lamp for one child. They will replace the very poor quality and very dangerous Kerosene lamps that are used by the students at the schools in Kisumu – in Kenya night comes down like a blanket at 6pm and there is no electric lighting in the area around the schools, making study impossible without some kind of lamp.
In a nut shell:
Doors open at 9:00am with coffees and teas and other refreshments available from the bar. The Auditorium itself opens at 9:40am and the Film will be shown from 10am.
The tickets are £15 each
