Wandsworth’s largest jobs and skills event returns to the town hall on Friday
Meet dozens of companies from multiple sectors offering a wide range of job opportunities to suit all levels at Wandsworth Civic Suite in the Town Hall on Friday April 26, from 10am – 3pm.
The free event, organised by Wandsworth Council’s Work Match team, is aimed at people who live in Wandsworth who want to work closer to home, are returning to work, who want to step up a level or who need help finding the right career.
Visitors will be able to find out about local job opportunities, talk face-to-face with potential employers and can get expert advice from Google Digital Garage on CV development, building a personal brand online and self-promotion skills. For those interested in starting up their own business, there will be business startup and enterprise support from Metro Bank.
There will also be a range of live, interactive skills demonstrations showcasing sector skills from industry experts. Exclusive to Employ Wandsworth 2019, learn about the skills needed to become a barista from South Thames College, creative floristry with Moyses Stevens, hair design from Paul Edmonds and construction skills with PHD Modular Access Services.
Last year’s around a thousand people turned up and this year’s event is expected to be even bigger, with 49 exhibiting businesses on the day. Registration is now closed, but you can just turn up on the day.
