A free Exchanging Places event in Battersea Park on August 29th
Collisions with HGVs are the most common cause of serious injury and death to cyclists The police will be bringing along an HGV so that cyclists and pedestrians can sit inside the cab to find out what drivers can, and can’t, see and where their blind spots are. This session will also be one of the first in London giving the public the opportunity to see what the lorry driver sees using a new 360 degree film, played through a virtual reality headset.
The council’s cycle safety team will be there promoting the free cycle training on offer to children and adults, and will be providing a free Dr Bike service so cyclists can have their bike safety checked.
Go along to the Chelsea Car Park between 4pm and 7pm
