The Questors Theatre 19th - 22nd November
A spectacular dance show which includes music, song and comedy, transporting the audience to a rooftop cabaret club in New York will take to the stage at The Questors next week.
Club Vertigo stars Strictly Come Dancing’s Hanna Haarala from Series 3, and a cast of award-winning dancers, street performers and singers, Club Vertigo is suitable for all ages.
“We were so encouraged by last year’s reviews” says Amanda Harker, the show’s producer, “that we decided to update the show and return to Ealing.
We have a hugely talented and professional cast and I know it will be a night to remember. This year we have chosen to support an organisation that fits with my own philosophy and background.”
All profits from the show will be donated to Chickenshed Theatre, a charity that works with people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to create outstanding and inspiring theatre.
“After suffering my own health problems and been able to come through
them by working in the theatre again, I know how beneficial it is”, she says.
Amanda first produced the show in 2011. A dancer,
trainer, choreographer, designer and director, she included the word ‘Vertigo’ in the
title of her show after suffering from an illness which left her unable to balance and
confined to bed.
To aid her recovery she was asked to choreograph My Fair Lady for Barnes Charity Players (BCP). Since then she has choreographed many BCP shows before creating Club Vertigo, which she wrote and choreographed. It premiered three years ago in Barnes before transferring to The Questors Theatre last year.
Club Vertigo includes ballroom, tango, jazz and street dance disciplines, all part of
telling the earthy story of club life.
This year’s show will run from Wednesday 19th - Saturday 22nd November at 7.30pm
with a Saturday matinee at 2.30.
