Barnes & Mortlake Regatta

Free admission, licensed bar, refreshments available, families welcome

The Barnes and Mortlake Regatta on Saturday 9th June.

Racing will be all day – 1,000 metre course from Kew Railway Bridge to Chiswick Bridge in the morning – reversed in later afternoon on the incoming tide.   Racing will be from 09.00, there will be a break at about 14.20 (low tide is at 14.56) starts again about 15.30 and will run to 18.00.

The organisers would like to offer a quick trip out in a rowing boat for spectators – a sort of taster session in rowing for anyone interested, who might want to experience what it feels like, might want to consider taking up rowing - and this element of literally “hands on” proactivity should add to enjoyment of the day.

They could run some sessions from about 14.00. No special kit is required other than shorts and tee shirts you don’t mind getting wet, and changing facilities are available.  If you woudl like a try email Noel noel.durkin@btinternet.com

Viewing terrace at the boat house - see map.
