Captains Face Off In Fulham


Launching the Six Nations Rugby tournament


Coaches and players from each of the six teams descended on Fulham's Hurlingham club this morning to kick-off the 2014 tournament.

Among the stars on show are victorious British & Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton and coach Warren Gatland, now reprising those roles with Wales, who are seeking an historic third successive title.

Paul O'Connell, the Ireland captain, and his English counterpart Chris Robshaw are in attendance along with Scotland's Kelly Brown, while Italy skipper Sergio Parisse and Pascal Pape of France have also made the trip to London.

Joe Schmidt is also in attendance ahead of his first RBS 6 Nations as Ireland coach, along with Stuart Lancaster, who led England to second place last year, Scotland coach Scott Johnson, Jacques Brunel, coach of Italy, and France coach Philippe Saint-Andre.

The captains of the six women's sides are also in attendance with Ireland, led by captain Fiona Coghlan, the defending champions after completing the Grand Slam last year.
