Recycle your mobile phone with Greenpeace
It's good for Greenpeace, good for the environment, good for you!
Thousands of mobile phones end up in landfill every year but there is no need for this. You can recycle your old mobile to stop phones from heading for landfill and save carbon emissions. Recycling your phone can also raise money for Greenpeace campaigns because you can donate the value of your old phone to them.
The majority of phones that get thrown away can be reused or refurbished. If not then they can be properly recycled. Reusable phones are sent to developing countries where new mobiles are not very affordable. So what many people see as waste here can be used elsewhere.
All you need to do is dig out your mobile and log on to their mobile phone partners website to find out how much it’s worth. You then decide how much of the total you want to donate to Greenpeace – anything from 20% - 100%.
Over the next few months Greenpeace have got lots of exciting stuff planned that they will need more money for. You will be helping them take action against to companies destroying orang-utan and tiger habitats in Indonesia, retailers unnecessarily plundering our oceans for more tuna, and the industries destroying pristine arctic habitats in their crusade to squeeze the last barrels of oil out of the earth.
It’s pretty simple - just follow the steps below and you'll be well on your way to doing that extra thing to help Greenpeace protect the planet.
Greenpeace thank you for your support. The more money we raise the more victories we can achieve.
