Christopher Grandage ran from 83a Queenstown road to Broughton street at 1pm on the 26th July. Christopher was so excited about being involved.
He was chosen from a very impressive field because of the work he has undertaken for his father's charity Future Hope in Kolkata in India.
Every night in Kolkata children can be found sleeping alone and vulnerable on station platforms and in the surrounding areas. They are without their parents, thin and unkempt. Many are ill, all are vulnerable and most are exposed to serious forms of exploitation. They have little or no ability to change their lives.
It is for children such as these that Future Hope India was established.
Jane Emmett the head at Fulham Prep said: "It is fantastic that local children like Christopher can be recognised
for their charity work and be involved in this historic event. All at Fulham Prep and Prep Prep are very proud of him and will be cheering him on".
