Time is running out to enter the Wandsworth Business Awards 2014, in associate with The Tax Guys, and earn your company the recognition it deserves.
Now in its second year, the Awards, led by Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce celebrate the best of the borough’s businesses across 12 different categories.
This year’s awards are set to be even bigger, culminating in a gala dinner and awards ceremony hosted by former Capital FM and Heart FM DJ Neil Bentley at the Roehampton Club on November 6, 2014.
The awards ceremony will be a great opportunity to join a glittering array of local business people for an evening of networking and celebration as the award winners are announced.
A panel of judges will select a shortlist of finalists for each category who will be invited to make a presentation at a judging day.
Steve Pinto, chairman of Wandsworth Chamber of Commerce, urged businesses to get involved after the success of last year.
He said:
“If you weren’t at the awards last November, you really missed something because it was a real party. As chairman of the Chamber I get invited to quite a few of the awards around London and I haven’t been to one as good as the one we held at the Roehampton Club.
“You have to be in it to win it and, with 12 categories, there really is something for everyone. I believe that entering the awards is an absolute must for any business in the borough.”
Business Launchpad, an organisation which supports young entrepreneurs, won the Commitment to the Community award last year and also scooped the overall best business prize.
Sarah Rust, a business counsellor for the organisation, said the recognition it received from the rewards gave it a real boost.
She said:
“To be recognised by a strong network of businesses for our work supporting pre and post start-up businesses, coinciding with us celebrating our 25th anniversary year, gave us a great sense of achievement and confidence. To receive the award for Business of the Year was really fantastic, especially as a business that supports businesses. That gives us wicked kudos. If people can believe that we will support businesses then getting the Business of the Year award really speaks for itself.”
