With a free service to boost environmental performance
Borough businesses are being encouraged to go green in 2013 by taking advantage of a free service designed to boost their environmental performance – and save them money.
The Greening Business Service, which is free of charge for a limited time, sees a trained advisor helping eligible businesses review their environmental performance and draw up action plans that will enable energy saving changes to be made.
Some businesses in the borough that have taken up the offer ended up cutting costs by about £1,000 a year.
Wandsworth Council is one of six London boroughs helping to offer environmental incentives to local businesses by delivering the service.
The Greening Business programme provides 12 hours of fully funded one-to-one support to help eligible businesses reduce their costs and save money by making eco-friendly changes.
The service is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund and is currently free to eligible businesses in Wandsworth, Barking & Dagenham, Kensington & Chelsea, Merton, Richmond and Southwark.
For more information and to find out whether your business is eligible visit www.wandsworth.gov.uk/greeningbiz.
To book a visit with an advisor call (020) 8944 5501 or email greeningbusiness@mccbusinesssolutions.co.uk.
