'Our Hospice, Our Contribution’

Trinity Hospice invites you to a special LGBT event

Trinity Hospice, Clapham, launched a new LGBT Friends Group in September 2014 with a special inaugural event held in partnership with Stonewall. Guests took part in a panel discussion and Q&A session exploring the issues around death and dying in the LGBT community, followed by wine, nibbles and a tour of Trinity.

Many people in the LGBT community are wary of accessing healthcare due to fear of disclosure and discrimination, so Trinity set the LGBT Friends Group up to develop stronger links and engage with its local LGBT community.

Trinity’s next LGBT Friends Group event, called ‘Our Hospice, our contribution – the next steps’, is taking place at Trinity on Thursday 29 January, 6:30 - 9:30pm. Supporters are invited to take part in a creative session to look at how Trinity can improve its services and materials to ensure it is meeting the needs of its local LGBT community.

Dallas Pounds, Trinity’s CEO, says: “Our LGBT Friends Group is a forum where we can engage with our LGBT supporters, discuss issues which affect this community and work together to ensure Trinity is providing the best care for LGBT patients.”

This is a free event and drinks and nibbles will be provided. Guided tours of Trinity will also be provided. To reserve your place, please contact Sarah Gray on sgray@trinityhospice.org.uk. Spaces are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
