October is the final date....
Pupils
planning to start at secondary school next September have until October
21 to apply for a place.
All the key dates together with information on how to apply are contained
in the council's 'Choose a Wandsworth Secondary School' brochure which
children in their last year at primary school took home at the start of
term.
Local authorities across London will issue a single offer of a place to
their own borough residents on the same day - March 1, 2006.
The council publishes a separate guide to fee-paying schools within easy
reach of Wandsworth. 'Choose an Independent School' has also been issued
to Wandsworth pupils.
Schools have been holding open days and evenings since early September.
The remaining dates are:
Burntwood School - October 13 (9-11am); October
15 (10-12 noon); October 18
(9-11am)
Elliott School - October 19 (6.45 - 9pm); October
20 (9.15-11.30am)
Ernest Bevin College - October 14 (9am)
Graveney School - October 13 (9.30-12.30pm and
5.30-8.30pm)
Southfields College - October 13 ( 8.45-11am); October 18
(8.45 - 11am)
