Residents who volunteered for the Olympics are urged to get in touch with the council
Wandsworth wants to throw a celebration for local volunteers to thank them for their hard work in making London 2012 such a success.
Volunteers could include games makers, torch relay participants, London Ambassadors, Local Leaders or even athletes. Everyone who was a borough resident at the time they volunteered is invited.
The Mayor of Wandsworth, Cllr Adrian Knowles, said:
"Last summer's games were a spectacular success, and the thousands of volunteers who helped out were a large part of that. The Olympics showed how much potential there is to harness people's skills and enthusiasm and bring them together for the common good. We want to show Wandsworth's volunteers that we appreciate their efforts."
If you would like an invitation to the celebration, email crenee@wandsworth.gov.uk or call (020) 8871 6529 with details of your name, contact details and a few words about your voluntary Olympic role.
