Health bosses want to know ‘How was it for you?’
with
a survey at your GP's practice
Wandsworth PCT
will be asking patients ‘How was it for you?’ in a survey designed
to find out what Wandsworth patients think of their treatment in local hospitals,
clinics and other areas.
The survey takes place from Monday 29 November for two weeks with questionnaires
in all Wandsworth GP practices, health centres, clinics and some outpatient
departments. Officers from the primary care trust will also be visiting
a variety of community groups to get their opinions.
The PCT is running this survey as part of its patient and public involvement
work to take on board patients’ views when commissioning hospital
services. This survey precedes the national patient survey, which will be
sent out in January directly to selected households registered with a GP.
Sian Job, local GP and Chair of the Patient and Public Involvement Committee,
says “There is no point involving patients in decisions about healthcare
if this doesn’t result in real changes. By running this survey we
are asking the people of Wandsworth what they really think about the treatment
they receive. This will hopefully highlight any areas that need improving
and help the PCT decide where to spend its money.”
