Up to £4,000 available to help produce films of no longer than 12 minutes in length.
The council is now accepting applications to the Short Film Fund 2011. The scheme aims to discover grassroots talent, stimulate local filmmaking and develop new skills.
The deadline for applications is 12pm, Friday 21 October 2011.
The Shorts Film Fund is run in partnership by Wandsworth and Kensington and Chelsea Councils, with support from Film London and Skillset.
To qualify for funding the director, writer or producer must live, work or study in one of the two boroughs and applicants must have had no more than two films professionally distributed or exhibited.
The completed films could be shortlisted for Film London's Best of Borough Film Awards (BoB's).
Wandsworth Council's arts and culture spokesman Cllr Jonathan Cook said:
"This scheme has helped scores of local filmmakers to hone their talents and showcase their skills. It's a terrific opportunity and I thoroughly recommend anyone with filmmaking aspirations to put together an application."
