but murder has been found and is back in custody
Officers searching for two men who absconded from Springfield Hospital have this afternoon arrested one of the men, John Claydon who was charged with murder in April this year.
He was arrested at approximately 14.00 on Hampton Road, Twickenham and has been taken into custody at a south London Police Station.
John Slavin, 44, remains outstanding and officers are continuing their efforts to apprehend him. Slavin is white, approx. 6ft 3in tall and of thin build. He was wearing a black jumper, black coat, blue jeans, brown shoes & black beanie hat. He also had a goatee beard. His hair is short and dark. He has tattoos on his left arm and hand - details unknown.
He is known to associate in the Kensington and Chelsea and Aberdeen areas.
Slavin is on remand to Southwark Crown Court charged with aggravated burglary. Claydon is charged with a murder in Bath on 27.4.08.
Both men were being assessed at the hospital for mental health conditions. If members of the public see either man they are not to approach them but to dial 999 immediately.
