Cannabis Factory Closed On West Hill

Over 600 plants discovered.

On Monday 28th September 2009 police were called to West Hill SW18 by a member of the public after a cannabis factory was discovered at the location.
Officers attended and entered the address where they discovered approximately 600 - 700 cannabis plants at various stages of growth, across 5 rooms along with a large amount of Hydroponic equipment.

The property was searched for suspects then quickly secured to preserve all possible forensic opportunities.

Officers liaised with the electricity company to ensure the property was made safe.

DI Simon Rowe said
‘This is a good result which came from a tip off from a member of the public. These cannabis factories are often linked to organised crime. They put both police officers and the public at risk as the electricity supply is often unsafe and potentially lethal.’
