Police seek black Ford Focus

involved in hit & run in Kingston.

Police are appealing for the public's help in tracing a Ford Focus car that drove off after seriously injuring a local business man in a hit and run collision.

On Thursday 14th April 2005 at about 16:30 a 65 year old man was left in a critical condition after being in collision with the car as he used a pedestrian crossing in Kingston Hill. He was taken to the Royal London Hospital by Air Ambulance where he remains in the intensive care unit.

Police believe that a newly registered Black Ford Focus was in collision with the victim as he crossed the road. The man was carried on the car bonnet for some distance before he fell onto the road and the car continued to drive off. This vehicle is likely to have some damage to the front and police urgently need to trace it.

A 19 year old female was later arrested in connection with this incident. She has since been bailed to a date in late June, pending enquiries. We are still looking for the vehicle.
