Figures show benefit of having dedicated teams of officers
Figures released by the MPS Safer Neighbourhoods Team this week show that between April 2006 and February 2007 the teams in Hounslow Borough have made over 600 arrests, submitted over 7,000 intelligence reports, made follow up reassurance visits to over 900 victims of residential burglary, and seized over 500 vehicles that were being driven on the streets of the borough without the correct Insurance cover.
The figures also show that the teams have been tackling Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) through 5 Crack House closure notices, 116 ASB letters issued, 179 ASB home visits made, 39 Anti Social behaviour contracts signed, the issue of 9 ASBOs by the local courts, and the issue of 67 Penalty Notices for Disorderly behaviour.
A spokesperson for the SNT's said "This clearly shows the benefit of having dedicated teams of officers based on every single ward in the borough and their commitment to making Hounslow a safer place to live for residents. Residents have had the opportunity to voice their views at public meetings during this period and over 6800 have done so."
