Police appeal for information and release CCTV stills
British Transport Police (BTP) officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward as part of an on-going investigation after a 12-year-old boy was touched inappropriately on a District Line train on Wednesday, 1 February.
Investigators have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which happened at 5.30pm.
Detective Constable Darren Davies, the investigating officer, said that the boy had been travelling alone between South Kensington and Wimbledon Park underground stations when the incident happened:
“The victim, who was on a busy District Line train, felt a man touch him inappropriately a number of times. The man got off the train at Wimbledon station, where it terminated.”
Officers are urging anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation to come forward.
DC Davies added: "We have followed up a number of leads but are yet to identify the man in the image and I encourage anybody who knows him to get in touch. This was a very frightening ordeal for the victim and I am determined to find the man responsible."
