Kew Bridge Road closed after collision between car and motorcycle

There have been serious traffic delays in the Brentford and Chiswick areas this morning after an accident occurred during the rush hour.

Kew Bridge Road (A315) was closed following a collision between a car and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist, believed to be in his thirties, was hit by a Volvo Estate at the junction of Kew Bridge Road and Chiswick High Road at around 7.15am.

The man was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service and then taken to hospital with a broken leg. The driver of the car was not arrested. Police say their enquiries into the collision continue.

Kew Bridge Road has now reopened but there have been delays and queuing traffic for the rest of the morning between the junction with the A205 at Kew Bridge and the B455 Ealing Road.
