Rewards for those doing most to help the environment
The search is on for this year's Green Champions. To encourage all our residents and businesses to be greener, the Council want to recognise and reward everyone who is already doing what they can to make our borough a better place to live.
There are no age limits and they welcome entries from individuals, local groups, schools, businesses and families who live or work in Wandsworth.
What's important is that you're helping the environment.
The Council want you to help them tell the borough how easy being green is and, if you're a winner, you could be taking home some great prizes, including green hampers and £100s worth of vouchers for local garden centres and bike shops. The winner and runners up will be invited to a special prize-giving ceremony with the Mayor later in the year.
Tell us if you're doing your bit for the environment or if someone you know would be a great example to others. Perhaps you walk to work every day, cycle to the park, save energy, save water or re-use and recycle? The smallest action can make a huge difference.
