Chiswick Decorative and Fine Arts Society lecture
Fulham Palace and Chiswick Decorative & Fine Arts Society Chiswick DFAS present an illustrated evening talk by art historian Philippa Barton on Wed 15 March, 6.30pm-8pm, on the influences and styles of Rococo England.
The talk, which will take place in the Great Hall, will examine the unrivalled flights of fancy such tastes created both in the garden and inside the house.
Guests will have the exclusive opportunity to explore the current exhibition The Architects and Craftsmen of Fulham Palace prior to the talk, housed in the beautiful Rococo surrounding of Bishop Sherlock’s Dining Room, before retiring to the Great Hall for this fascinating talk.
A paid bar offering wine and artisan gin and tonics will be available for purchase of refreshments from 6pm-6.30pm. The exhibition will be open for browsing from 5.30pm.
The lecture commences at 8pm (with the ChDFAS private
bar open from 7.00pm). Non-members £10 on the door.
