Waterside Development In Brentford Enters Second Phase

ISIS Waterside Submit Application For Brentford Lock West

ISIS Waterside Regeneration has lodged a detailed planning application with Hounslow Borough Council, for phase two of its mixed-use scheme, Brentford Lock West.

The developer previously secured outline planning consent for its 520 residential unit scheme, situated on the banks of the Grand Union Canal in Brentford, in March 2012. It has since gone ahead with the construction of the first phase of homes, which according to ISIS are already selling fast and which are due for completion in 2015.

Mæ Architects have been appointed to design the second phase at Brentford Lock West, which will comprise of 140 new residential properties, including four bedroom town houses and a collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments, as well as commercial space on the ground floor along Commerce Road.

Katie Sully, Development Director at ISIS Waterside Regeneration, said:

“The first phase at Brentford Lock West has been very well received, with over two thirds-already reserved or completed. We are very excited to now be submitting planning for the second phase here and look forward to continuing the development of this desirable waterside scheme. We are delighted to be working with Mae architects across the second phase and we are confident that their approach will perfectly complement the first phase of homes, which are already taking shape.

“It has been important to us that as a part of delivering this residential scheme, we enhance the surrounding waterways for the benefit of the wider community and we remain committed to this pledge. Work has already begun to widen the existing canal towpath and a floating pontoon has been installed, for use by the local canoe clubs, helping to encourage use and enjoyment of the canal here.”

Situated along the banks of the Grand Union Canal, Brentford Lock West forms part of a five year project, which ISIS Waterside claim will "breathe new life" into Brentford, through the delivery of 520 new homes. In addition to providing new housing, the scheme aims to also deliver new community spaces and commercial buildings, potentially aiding job creation in the area.

The homes, which are being delivered by waterside property developer ISIS Waterside Regeneration, are hoped to offer buyers a unique opportunity to secure a new, highly-specified home, with the added benefit of a host of community features and green initiatives – from roof-top allotments to the delivery of a new watersports hub.

ISIS Waterside Regeneration is a partnership company owned by the Canal & River Trust and MUSE Developments and is committed to revitalising Britain’s waterways by creating sustainable waterside communities.
