As a general rule of thumb, most boilers come with a 2 to 10-year warranty – not bad. Some suppliers do offer extended warranties, but these can cost anything up to £330 for a mere 3-year extension and, in my opinion, aren’t really worth it. Why I think they’re not worth it is a story for another day.
So there’s a new kid on the block that we’ve recently been quietly offering, testing, and installing for our customers. It’s a lesser-known boiler with a default 18-year warranty.
I installed one some time ago at my previous home with my previous partner – a relationship that broke down, unlike the boiler – so it wasn’t all bad.
I’m not going to reveal the manufacturer here – call me paranoid. But I don’t want my competitors to know who makes them. Suffice to say, the quality is outstanding, and I have no problem in recommending them to my customers.
And the best bit: they don’t cost any more to buy or install than a standard boiler. That’s insane value for money and could save you a fortune in the future – potentially thousands of pounds.
If your boiler has recently come out of its warranty period and its performance isn’t filling you with confidence, it would definitely be worth speaking to us about a replacement. Get in touch today.
