One week left to get your Enterprise Week tickets
Wandsworth Enterprise Week starts on March 5, so time is running out to snap up tickets for a week of talks, advice sessions, networking opportunities, workshops and events.
The fifth annual Wandsworth Enterprise Week from March 5-10 is organised by the council’s Economic Development Office, which provides advice and support to the borough’s business sector.
Early bird tickets are still available for one of the highlights of the event - The Wandsworth Business Forum. This includes a panel discussion, guest speaker and an opportunity to network for other Wandsworth business people.
Female entrepreneurs can also take part in Women’s Enterprise Day, which features guest speaker Thomasina Miers, founder of Wahaca, a panel discussion, workshops and coaching session on the driving range at the Central London Golf Club.

The Wandsworth Pitch - 16-30 year olds get a chance to pitch their ideas to a panel and receive start-up funding.

The Food Exchange at New Covent Garden Market will sponsor food enterprise events; Battersea Arts Centre will sponsor sessions for the creative sector and Virgin StartUp is an event partner. Other organisations taking part include Google Digital Garage, the Prince’s Trust, Newable, Business Launchpad, the Design Trust, the Intellectual Property Office, the Federation of Small Business (FSB) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW).
16-30 year olds with a business idea can take part in an interactive workshop with the Prince’s Trust, and event partner Virgin StartUp will be providing advice for entrepreueurs wanting to start a business or grow their existing one, at its Step Up Your Start Up session.
1-2-1 advice clinics will be available on subjects including branding, cashflow, marketing, law and business rates.
There are several events targets at food businesses sponsored by The Food Exchange at New Covent Garden, including Meet the Food Buyer.
Other organisations taking part include Google Digital Garage, the Prince’s Trust, Selfridges, Newable, Business Launchpad, the Design Trust, the Intellectual Property Office, the Federation of Small Business (FSB) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW).
Wandsworth’s business spokesman Cllr Kim Caddy said: “Our business community is the lifeblood of the borough and we’re keen to help establish businesses thrive and encourage new start-ups. Wandsworth Enterprise Week has events for all types of businesses, including our thriving food and digital sectors. Most events are completely free, so make the most of the advice and expertise on offer.”
Wandsworth Enterprise Week takes place between March 5-10 at venues across the borough and the majority of events are free. Numbers are limited so must be booked in advance. Priority will be given to Wandsworth businesses and residents.
