Help to start up and grow with a week of talks, advice sessions, networking opportunities, workshops and events
Business people and entrepreneurs can book their place now on the fifth annual Wandsworth Enterprise Week from March 5-10. It is organised by the council’s Economic Development Office, which works to help the borough’s business sector thrive.

Highlights of the week include:
Step Up Your Start Up with event partner Virgin StartUp
1-2-1 advice clinics on subjects including branding, cashflow, marketing, law and business rates.
Women’s Enterprise Day – a panel discussions, workshops and coaching session on the driving range at the Central London Golf Club (early bird ticket - £10)
Meet the Food Buyer – one of several events targets at food businesses
The Wandsworth Business Forum – panel discussion and an opportunity to network (early bird ticket - £10)
The Wandsworth Pitch - 16-30 year olds get a chance to pitch their ideas to a panel and receive start-up funding.

The Food Exchange at New Covent Garden Market will sponsor food enterprise events; Battersea Arts Centre will sponsor sessions for the creative sector and Virgin StartUp is an event partner. Other organisations taking part include Google Digital Garage, the Prince’s Trust, Newable, Business Launchpad, the Design Trust, the Intellectual Property Office, the Federation of Small Business (FSB) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW).
Wandsworth’s business spokesman Cllr Kim Caddy said: “Our business community is the lifeblood of the borough and we’re keen to help establish businesses thrive and encourage new start-ups. Wandsworth Enterprise Week has events for all types of businesses, including our thriving food and digital sectors. Most events are completely free, so make the most of the advice and expertise on offer.”

Wandsworth Enterprise Week takes place between March 5-10 at venues across the borough and the majority of events are free. Numbers are limited so must be booked in advance. Priority will be given to Wandsworth businesses and residents.
