With an astonishing 127 entries, the winner of our decorate a scallop shell competition chosen by councillor John Todd is little Maia: she and her family have won a grand seafood platter.

What John found so compelling was the actual message written on the shell “save our oceans 1 step at a time” with a line of little steps going across the ocean.

Before John chose the winner there were originally 5 finalists and John stated its such a shame they all can’t be winners. So I’ve decided to make 4 runners up prizes as well. So Dean, Tom, Quincy and Thomas will each receive a mini seafood platter for their respective families. Every one who entered should pop by and pick up a thank you for entering goody bag.
