Now in its ninth year south London’s premiere arts festival is launching it biggest event yet with the festival playing host to more than 180 shows in over 55 venues from May 4th to 20th.

Promising to bring every corner of the borough to life once again, WAF 2018 features a packed line-up. There will be pop-up dance performances and taster sessions at the Royal Academy of Dance in Battersea, and an outdoor, interactive art workshop as part of WildCity’s Big Art Picnic in Tooting and Nine Elms.

The Waste Paper Opera Company will bring odd-bod opera to Balham, and performance partnership Fragility will take over The Arches at St Mary’s Church in Putney and The Cat’s Back in Wandsworth Town with cutting-edge theatre and comedy.

There will be life drawing (with a difference) in Roehampton, an Affordable Art Exhibition in Furzedown, and an entire programme of spectacular circus events in the new Battersea Circus Garden. 

WAF Producer Cath Mattos says,  “WAF 2018 is set to be our biggest and most inclusive festival yet! We have new pop up and touring venues coming to town for the festival and over 180 events will make all corners of Wandsworth in May so exciting and vibrant.
