Thinking of a change to your room? Great tips for sourcing or selling furnishings
One of the great dilemmas in the decorating process is how to get rid of pieces that you have loved but no longer want or where to find something individual that is unique. Here are a few ideas:
1. It is a great feeling when you know that something that you have loved has a value and is going to a good home. In Putney we are blessed with the Trinity Hospice Furniture Shop www.trinityhospice.org.uk/category/page-tag/putney a wonderful source of unusual pieces at incredible prices and a really worthwhile way to give away things you no longer need.
2. Alternatively, Pedlars Place is a fabulous service where you can buy and sell any furniture on a commission basis, whether antique or contemporary. They are based in Warfield, Berkshire, but have an excellent website so that you can go shopping online. www.pedlarsplace.com/
3.If you want to really get involved Kempton Antique Market is a great experience a - well worth getting up early for. Everything is priced extraordinarily well and you will find some very unusual pieces. The market is always held on a Tuesday morning and the next one is on 8 th May 2012. sunburyantiques.com/

4 . If you prefer to buy and sell from the comfort of your home www.preloved.com is a very good alternative to ebay. It is a very user-friendly site a wide range of furniture available.
5. Finally, Lots Road Auctions is a very fun way to buy and sell special pieces – and you can get a bargain too. The only problem is that it is so involving that you can find yourself spending a lot more time viewing than you planned! Look at what they have online, visit the showroom and attend the auction for the full experience. Very fun! www.lotsroad.com/
