Zero hygiene rating for Wok Express Wok Wok

'Nil point' not for a Eurovision entry but for the Putney High Street Wok Express 'Wok Wok' following a visit from Wandsworth Council food safety team.

Zero results in a recommendation for 'Urgent improvement'. The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme allows the public to see the results of food hygiene inspections as a rating from 0 to 5. Rating certificates and window stickers are sent out to businesses after assessment.



The restaurant was ranked Bad for 'Structural Compliance' which includes; (including cleanliness, layout, condition of structure, lighting, ventilation, facilities etc.), received a Bad for 'Food Hygiene & Safety' (including food handling practices and procedures, and temperature control) and the food safety team registered no confidence in the management.

Scores on the Doors is a website that collates information on the food premises supplied by the Food Standards Agency and provided by local authorities.  Wandsworth Council inspects most of the 2,132 food premises in Wandsworth each year - the aim as stated on the council website is to 'to ensure that food sold to the public is safe to consume'.
